How to Fade an Image in Photoshop CC

To fade an image in Photoshop CC, follow these steps:

1. Open the image you want to fade in Photoshop.

2. Create a new layer by clicking the "New Layer" button at the bottom of the Layers panel on the right.

3. Select the Gradient tool (G) from the toolbar on the left.

4. In the Options bar at the top of the screen, select the "Foreground to Transparent" gradient preset.

5. Choose the color for the gradient that you want to fade the image into.

6. Click and drag the Gradient tool from the top to the bottom or the left to the right of the image to apply the gradient on the new layer.

7. Adjust the opacity of the new layer by moving the Opacity slider in the Layers panel to the left to reduce the layer's opacity and increase the fade effect.

8. If you want to apply the fade to only a part of the image, use the Rectangular Marquee tool (M) to select the part of the image you want to fade and then apply the gradient on the new layer.

9. Save the image with the faded effect using the "Save" or "Save As" options in the File menu.
