How to play family shared games at the same time

When playing family shared games on Steam, only one person can play the game at a time using the shared library. If you try to launch the game while someone else is already playing it, you will receive a notification that the game is currently in use.

However, there are a few workarounds you can try to allow multiple people to play the same game at the same time:

1. Offline mode: If the person who owns the game goes into offline mode, other users can launch and play the game from the shared library without issue. However, this means that the owner of the game will not be able to access their own Steam account or library while in offline mode.

2. Family sharing workaround: You can create a second Steam account and use family sharing to share the game with that account. Then, you can launch the game from the second account while the first account is still playing the game from the shared library. This method is not officially supported by Steam and may not work with all games.

3. LAN party mode: Some games support LAN party mode, which allows multiple users to play the same game together on a local network. If you have multiple computers on the same network, you can launch the game on each computer and play together in LAN party mode.

Keep in mind that these workarounds may not work with all games, and they may not be allowed under the terms of service for certain games or for Steam in general. Use these methods at your own risk.
