How To Tell If Your Keyboard Is Mechanical?

There are a few ways to tell if a keyboard is mechanical or not.

1. Look at the keys: Mechanical keyboards typically have taller and more pronounced keycaps than a regular membrane keyboard. You can also look for any marking or branding on the keycaps, which is usually a good indicator of what type of keyboard you have.

2. Listen to the sound: Mechanical keyboards are known for having a distinct “clicky” sound when typing. If you press a key and it makes a loud and distinct noise, chances are you have a mechanical keyboard.

3. Feel the keys: Another way to tell if your keyboard is mechanical is to press the keys and feel how much resistance there is. Mechanical keyboards typically have a much higher actuation point than a regular membrane keyboard, meaning you can actually feel the key being pressed down before it registers the keystroke.
