How to Rotate Your Dartboard, And How Often You Should Do It

Rotating your dartboard is an important part of dart maintenance that can help to extend the life of your board and ensure consistent gameplay. Here's how to rotate your dartboard and how often you should do it:

Remove the dartboard from the wall. This can usually be done by unscrewing the mounting bracket or clips.

Use a marker or pen to mark the top of the board, so that you can easily identify the orientation of the board when you re-mount it.

Rotate the board 180 degrees, so that the bottom is now facing up.

Mount the board back onto the wall, making sure to use the marks you made in step 2 to ensure that the board is mounted in the same orientation as before.

If you are playing with soft tip darts, you may also want to rotate the board in a circular motion to even out the wear on the board.

How often you should rotate your dartboard depends on how frequently you play and how quickly your board is wearing out. As a general rule of thumb, it's a good idea to rotate your board at least once every few months or whenever you notice that the board is starting to show signs of wear or damage. This can help to even out the wear on the board and ensure that it lasts as long as possible. If you are playing with soft tip darts, you may want to rotate the board more frequently to even out the wear on the board.
